Limit of Liability
While Sandy Smith Studio will take every precaution for the safekeeping and careful handling of artwork and materials, submitting items for framing, fabrication, repairs, or other handling constitutes an agreement by the client that Sandy Smith Studio will not be liable for any consequential, special, incidental, or indirect damages of any kind whatsoever and however arising, including, without limitation, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits or revenues, or diminution in value.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our craftsmanship. In the unlikely event that something fabricated by Sandy Smith Studio fails, breaks, or doesn’t perform as expected through normal use we will endeavor to repair or replace our work, provided the client delivers the items to our studio. We will not be responsible for repairing work on-site or covering delivery charges to or from our studio.
The client is responsible for ensuring that electrical components are code-compliant for residential, commercial, or industrial applications in the respective jurisdiction.
Should any artwork or material submitted involve high value, it is the client’s responsibility to insure it appropriately during transit to, from, and on our premises.

Scheduling
We are proud never to have missed a deadline for an exhibition! The client must bear the responsibility to schedule their work sufficiently ahead of their required completion date. While every effort will be made to hit deadlines, the job is not refundable if a deadline is missed. We are not responsible for expedited shipping or any other incidental costs that arise from a missed deadline.

Shipping & Transportation
The client is responsible for delivering artwork or materials to the studio or an otherwise agreed location and for the collection of artwork upon completion of work. It is the responsibility of the client to verify the receipt of their original artwork. We are not responsible for work left in-house for more than 30 days after job completion.

Invoicing
For each project, a quotation will be prepared. It will account for the cost of the work requested. A deposit of half the amount of the quotation is required before beginning production. If the scope of work changes in production we will aim to provide advance notice of changes to the quote, but the client is responsible for covering the costs of requested changes with or without advance notice.
Deposits are non-refundable but we can discuss the transfer of the deposit amount to another project, depending on expenses incurred The balance must be paid within 30 days of receipt of completed work or the date of the final invoice, whichever is later. Outstanding balances will be subject to a 5% late fee per month or part thereof after this 30-day period.
